Untitled And Undated Poem by Matthew Hyatt

Untitled And Undated

Here I lie
As I watch the world pass by
I had everything in place
Ready for you if you ever came back
I spent my life on thoughts of you
and your return
Now I watch our civilization burn
My life slipped through a crack

Six feet under on top of the world
Is where I now call home
Because I left too soon
I look down upon you and the moon
You are broken now that I am gone
That depression deepens with each new dawn
I give you one last deal
For which your fate will seal
Drown your sorrows in my pain
and crush anything sane
