Unveil Poem by Leslie Alexis

Unveil

I dropp my armor
I lay down my sword:
I stand in my skin -
I would no longer fight this.
Instead,
I open my arms
And soak in some of the radiance
I bask in the fragrance:
My being thus becoming a reflection of it.
Then, and only then
Do I finally know love.
To love free.
Free of the burdens of Jealousy, doubt and pride.
I believe you love me
And me alone...
I believe you love me -
Love me in my tainted skin,
I believe you love me
I accept it,
and I let it be.
