Valentine Wish Poem by Leslie Alexis

Valentine Wish

This valentine I only want a kiss,
But let it be like sunshine to morning.
Let it be a force I cannot dismiss.
Let it rise and continue all day long.
Let our lips meet in tune as though a song.
Kiss me from far, or let me feel the burn
Of desire, exploding as our souls throng.
Let the kiss alone be our concern,
As we forget right-and-wrong’s cliché.
Kiss me and let our kiss alone be;
Life and death will have their day.
Let our lips have their eternity.
