Upgrading Trapped Slums Of The Mind Poem by Terence George Craddock

Upgrading Trapped Slums Of The Mind

Rating: 5.0

easier to run from slums than escape slum infested minds
without resources education hopes dreams slums are tar pits
densely populated unsanitary gang controlled crime scenes
in third world poverty in first world sleeping on numb streets?
cities ignore neglect slums tar target poverty trap denizens
slumming it is not camping out slumming it in budget hotels
our minds can be a bliss beautiful place avenues slum escapes
how do common people saints aid upgrade slum infested minds?

slums tar pits economic degraded waste lands city greed cancers
populated by survival rats cock roaches seeking refuge shelters
starved constantly seeking scraps to sustain nourish lean bodies
what of anguished underfed neglected broken hearted becomes?
displaying desperate sadness hopelessness caught in poverty claws
who will heal hate poverty of thought greed impaled on inner slums?
