Upon The Same Road
A frog going downhill
Hop, hop, hop,
Down and round
The slope, slope, slope
Jumped into a puddle
Plop, plop, plop,
And said life is a song
Croak, croak, croak!
A donkey groaning
And uphill staggering,
Heaving, puffing,
Grunting and moaning,
On seeing the frog
Singing and frisking,
Said in a voice
Unsteady and trembling,
Life is not a song, my friend
To realize it
Just take an about-turn
And ascend!
Aesop beware! It seems you have new challenger! And all this without a hint of why they were 'Upon The Same Road! ' A poem for the child in everyone! It was almost like I was sitting in my mother's lap again. Thank you Rajesh! This was my first time to your site and I was not disappointed. This is poetry like I have not experienced in a long time and I feel much lighter...

yes in life we have to climb many mountains, , many challenges would come, the one who would take the pain, and climb that mountain would one day sleep at the top of mountain, with no worries for the rest of his lives, , wonderful poem, ,
