Walking down sidewalks of tomorrow, investigating forests
on either side, noticing animals, beauty of trees and
brush.
Soaking in all colors and textures that are found along
the way, taking time to smell the flowers, never missing
a one.
Paths going off in all directions as I choose and select
the most creative ones to follow.
Using every particle of intellect, going into depths of
interior subconsciousness alone, prepared to write of life
into many volumes of poetical books.

This is another example of a WHOLE MIND poem - emotions + intellect = delight and learning. Your walk through nature is both an emotional rush and an intellectual study. To my mind, you are following a grand tradition here - that of Thoreau who combined emotional delight in nature with a scientist's curiosity. And there's no trace of that diseased mental mood he called LIVES OF QUIET DESPERATION. I've been reading Louise Gluck's huge Selected Poems the past several months -She rarely looks for the bright side of things. Her concerns are elsewhere and I admire her courage and persistence in the face of profound life trials. But we need your vision of delight and desire as a model to achieve such wholeness of being.
