Utterances Poem by Varghese J Kuttikat

Utterances

Rating: 5.0

Fire-tongued utterances
Breed honeyed sweetness
Beyond already set imaginings
Inspiring wakefulness limitless
To leap heavenwards on wings

And in an impossibly benign moment
Would be gracious enough to forgive them
And would exclaim: ‘ you are no longer poor darlings
On the other hand, indeed rich, fabulously rich
You set us wonder, wondering thunderous'
