Values - Poem by Jack Hickerson

See now while values guide me
Unset goals thru my future shines,

Label me as so you do
I hold this as my being,

Things I hold true.

Pestered, bruised, cut down for my truths
At the heart of me,

My values shine.

Although dark clouds shrowd
all my days,
Misery, pain, dispair
They still shine above all.

As diamonds shimmer undying shine,
My truths are brighter.
