Vast Open Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Vast Open

I felt the past was very good teacher
To work as guide and preacher
To forget past or retain its glory
As destined by an almighty

It does strike with power
As if rain has hit with shower
The earth cries in happiness
With all shines on face

I feel great change
With passing of an age
The deep scare is left behind
Not to be traced with threads to find

The sea is now vast open
With opportunities thrown all of sudden
It is you alone who is going to decide
Stay in race with stable mind and confide

I shall endure it with firmness
Fortune may swing and pause
I shall count each time and act
The life shall move on in fact

Now I shall love to sit
Invite people and greet
Confide my story and bless
As they move on with fine chess
