'' Vast Riches, Does Not Sustain Life '' Poem by Bri Mar

'' Vast Riches, Does Not Sustain Life ''

Being obsessed by space,
Means the Human Race,
Believe they must venture out there,
We can't keep up the pace,
So, the future we face,
Is one of fear and despair.

We never learn,
Spending more than you earn,
Will leave you in mountains of debt,
Our attitude is stern,
We show no concern,
Saying, nothing has happened as yet.

There's no denying,
The Earth is dying,
We have rotted her through to the core,
Our continued lying,
Is not edifying,
Believe me there's trouble in store.

We become obese,
As extinctions increase,
Our arrogance, thinks we are immune,
We're on a short lease,
Unless we cease,
The Human will be gone too soon.

As we near the end,
We refuse to bend,
Very soon we are under attack,
Nothing left to expend,
Let chaos descend,
Mother Nature has us on the rack.

Taking more than you need,
Will ensure we all bleed,
Our world is already in strife,
We refuse to heed,
That despite others greed,

‘' Vast Riches, Does Sustain, Life ‘'
