Verdict Deeds Time Seal Departing Souls

Rating: 5.0

an exquisite reflection upon a life
the lifeless body laid out in recent death
in a peaceful passing now mourned

reflections are now felt ritual perceived
mourners view the value of a spent name;
close mourners endure shock depth loss

sometimes beautiful people incite rage in
comparison shame response demon souls
within 'hearts of stone and eyes of flame'

because evil cannot stand pure beautified souls;

a universal truth is lives loved or hated live on
rise in memories left heartwarming cherished
virtue esteemed or hate dark lingering echoes;

the final touchstone testament value of life
is attesting to the stirring quality of impressions
bequeathed the warmth or cold felt enduring

in lives we touched in memories left
in death not all are equal beautiful people
are mourned heartfelt loved missed

it is true death slays claims
the righteous and unrighteous
when evil dies who notices

who cares who breathes relief
beautiful lives bless friends
strangers offspring descendants

the place departed depart to differs
wealth riches money is earth left
verdict deeds seal departing souls
