Vertigo Poem by Mario, Lucien, Rene Odekerken

Vertigo

The world tilts,
a floor that is no longer steady,
a sky that bends where it should not.

Steps become guesses,
the body a pendulum swinging
between trust and betrayal.

Light fractures,
walls breathe,
the ground sways like an ocean
that was never meant to move.

Inside the skull, a storm-
no wind, no rain, just motion
where stillness should be.

Reach for the air,
for something solid,
but nothing holds.

Nothing holds.
