Veterans Asking Nothing In Return Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Veterans Asking Nothing In Return

Mesquite tree standing off to the side of the table where
this poet is sitting, looking at its tangled mass of twigs
and branches, seeing its dedication standing up against all
kinds of weather here in this Arizona desert.

Loving this arid environment surrounding this quiet place
of renowned people - all bikers, gathering together and
giving of themselves and asking nothing in return.

Real true heroes in every respect that no one can deny,
for you can see it with your very own eyes, hearts feeling
pride through emotions of being in this world.

Awesome and genuine, nothing else in other countries can
ever compete with the giving hearts of all our Veterans in
America.

This poem, another tribute given totally to each and every
one of them today, using pen and mind to write them into
annals of history now and forever.

May God continue to Bless them all their days, especially
those here in Arizona living amongst us, our angels caring
and protecting us.
