It will not only sour relation
But put big mark of question
As you had laid foundation
For upbringing poets of new generation
Who will decide the quality of poets?
Rather the permissible lever of poem
It will defeat the purpose
Yes it may change the tide as you suppose
You had gone with loud announcement
That there will tremendous movement
For upbringing new chain of thoughts
This will amount as leaving battle ground without being fought
I hope there will be no curtailment
Judge by their standard of comments
If not by standard of poems
Many poets of big fame write nothing about them
Why then compulsion to read even two?
Are good poets afraid of facing truth?
That there are no takers for their presentation
I think of this and feel it poses big question
Person may leave field if he is tired
Failure on his part may too lead to retirement
When we are surging ahead with some goal
I think it will be unwarranted call
Let all flowers mushroom in pond
They have enough of space and room
Shakespeare and Rudyard may not appear within night
Let us not loose true vision with true sight
Pami Jane Tennant likes this. Pami Jane Tennant In a tremendously moving work such as this, I cannot bring myself to offer up any type of critique, only say this one thing which is what I have said before on forcing rhyme...sometimes if you can't find the word to smoothly rhyme, perhaps assonance or no rhyme is best. Having said that, which comes from my own training in learning and teaching poetry, your poem is very noble and deeply stirring. Loss of life in situations of wartime are always deeply disturbing, especially in light of how capricious the leaders are of the lives given to serve. It is my own firm belief that the leaders of various governments should be forced to fight their own battles instead of hiding behind the blood of the innocent...oh but wait...that would mean...GASP...and end to war! ! ! ! God bless you for the honesty you always write with! ! ! 49 minutes ago · Edited · Like · 1
