Vulnerable Moments Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

The wise foresee the vulnerable moments
and escape their pulls, lulls and hidden shells.
Some youths assert that they are stubborn
as iron and no one can cheat or loot their hearts
but be easy preys to the missiles shot from the eyes
which have such wonderful colour, sheen and eloquence.
When their wards score poor in the school final,
The parents are vulnerable to borrow and throw a mint
to block a seat in a private professional college.

Some people browse the nets, amaze at the photos
mailed, give their credit and debit card details,
be shocked at the alarming bank balance
and fall into a life of silent saints and sages.
The old and bald aren't deadwood to meditate
when their normal emotional needs are not met.
The porn in computers exhilarate and exhort them
to commit crimes and get them caught in perils.
Some rise again with reason but others fall into hell.

The cellphone users while riding a bike or driving a car
are easy victims not being aware of the lethal moments.
