Vocal For Local Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Vocal For Local

You simply said, "I hate you" to my face
but I slunk away from your whole folk.
My heart just jolted when I heard the phrase;
"Is love to you dear, a playful trick and joke? "

I don't want to see the heartless fiend again
as I feel bitter as I never felt before.
Your betrayal in my hurt mind will remain
and our sad tale for future will be the lore.

When foreign damsels sought a place in my heart
I preferred to be vocal for the local
and let my heart to be hit by the dart
that shot from the part of your eyes, focal.

It is a closed episode of my love to you
and as a man alienated, humbled, say adieu!
