W W Zoo

Inside the aviary net
of the double W
Zoo,
a nut,
with but for the feather
of a wedge-tail eagle,
his considerable holiday collection stuck
in the hat band of his Aku*,
was looking down
for more to stick
and saw a child
photography nut
looking up
boldly taking his pic.

A poet with a penchant
for foot rhyme,
he said you can't be happy with that,
here! have a close up of the hat.

Having just look at your 'next message' and leaving a comment at THAT poem, i have chosen THIS poem to grace the halls of my/our July 2017's 'a showcase by and for PH poets'. this month i'm only putting a list of poet names and the links to their poem pages into the showcase. i'll let the readers search, using the links. Thanks. and, as i already sent you: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Douglas, thank goodness for your punctuation and the 'dictionary'. a couple of nuts? they better stay far from the bars of the elephant and monkey cages! thanks for a bit of rhyming. let me look at your next message. thanks. bri ;)
