Waiting - Poem by Nataliea Collins
Waiting impatiently for my love for you to subside to anger,
This becomes just a test of my emotions to see if I can hold on.
Your look becomes my weakness that breaks my heart,
Then I snap back to reality where I find our love is childish.
That my heart goes not to you but to a love seeking boy,
He respects me for who I am not what I have.
My love for him is broadcast to everyone,
So why do I keep thinking about you and the things we used to do.
It’s not because I love you.
Because from the beginning I waited for my love for you to subside.
