Waiting By The Phone Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Waiting By The Phone

Rating: 5.0

I waited by the phone yesterday
Waiting for yr voice to call
Today, I have things to do
But I continue to wait
I am desperately cleaning the bathroom
Out of boredom
No words to explain why I am bored
However, I still listen for the phone
Hoping you're OK
Not really caring

Sometimes daily chores relieve the boredom. And get your mind off the phone not ringing. That said, he should have the courtesy of phoning to say that he's OK!
