Visiting Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Visiting

Rating: 4.7

You lie there with the scent
Of lavender shampoo
As I sit quietly trying not to weep
A single thick tear falls on yr quilt
But another doesn't make it
As the salty tears flood the room
My heart sinks to my stomach
I feel to kneel to any G-d who would listen
However, it's too late
I ignored my obligation to pray regularly
And now, the light in yr eyes is gone
Though, enough people prayed
For her soul and mine
I have wasted their time

Waiting time for anything is painful and more so when someone is sick. You dealt perfectly with the situation. FULL Stars.****
