Waiting For The Day To Come Poem by Mark McGarry

Waiting For The Day To Come

An unfamiliar shadows cast,
A fuller figure changing fast,
The force of life has taken hold,
A beaming face that shines like gold,
Happiness flickers in her eyes,
Her baggy dress gives no disguise,
To the bump that holds her prize,
Standing at the window high,
Staring out into the sky,
Waiting for the day to come,
When she can hold her baby son.
