Walk-Man Escapism Poem by Moriah Lederman

Walk-Man Escapism

Rating: 5.0

Numbing vibration in my head
Absence of thought
The loud silence of my walking friend
My opinionated partner
Screaming in my ears,
But not at me.

I escape it all in the fury of your voice
My metal confrere
Full of Love
Hate
Politics
Redemption
You can do the feeling for me

All I do is turn you on
Keep walking
Keep running
Leaving it all in my fading footsteps
Carrying your troubles
Not mine

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

This is a fabulous poem, Moriah! I drown out the world with a little Rage Against the Machine (now, sadly defunct) - or Henry Rollins.....yes....sometimes the world drives us to it. Nice job.
