Oh traveller! walk slow.
Why so hasty to win the show?
Running fast is not the way for quick achievement.
At best it can be called a benefit without any benevolent.
you can not claim it as achievement.
As there was no witness to see that victory moment.
You have left everybody on your way back.
Running and running hastily on stone and rock.
Once, like you, I had also a road in my front.
And I was also running impatiently without count.
Wiping the perspiration and taking rest in between
Under the shadow of my cool household green.
When at the end, I reached my destination
That moment was beyond any description.
Eureka eureka I shouted and shouted.
Overwhelmed with joy I laughed and danced.
But alas!
My joyous sound returned to me as echo.
As I didn't find anybody there to show my ego.
Instead of being happy I tried to compress my rising sob.
While my stoical look was aimlessly swimming in the sky of fog.
Searching for my near and dear ones with a deep sigh.
Who encouraged me to dream for touching the sky.
Only me and my shadow looked at each other.
I had to plant my victory flag with much despair.
So, Hey traveller!
Listen my request and walk slow.
Not alone, but with you your friends and foe.
Very insightful poem. Says much about human psychology and behaviour. Thanks, manaswini.
Dear Rajnish Manga, Thank you very much for your inspiring comment.
Life is a competitive path till one distinguishes his own ego. Then the speed of life slows down and begins to walk slowly with a sensible mind. Good communication. Congratulations.
