Walking To Get Somewhere Poem by Shalom Freedman

Walking To Get Somewhere

WALKING TO GET SOMEWHERE

Walking to get somewhere
Is not the walking I most love
But there are times
When in the speed and rush
There is a feeling of joy
At my own power and lightness
Most often there is a burden
And duty in walking somewhere
But there are times of joy also
Whatever it is wherever it is
Thank God I can still walk.
