Walking With Pain Poem by Shalom Freedman

Walking With Pain

Rating: 5.0

Walking was once such a pleasure
Now I walk with pain
I clench my teeth
And force myself forward
I try to move faster into the hurt
Walking is now pain
But I must walk
To stay alive
To stay healthy in other ways
I walk into the pain and with the pain and against the pain
I walk
But it is not the happiness it was.
