Walking With God, My Guiding Song Poem by Mohammad Younus

Walking with God, my guiding song,
Never journeying alone,
For He is my constant guide,
Master of virtue, never to chide.

I cannot follow earthly masters who stray,
For my path is set by God's righteous way,
In the Quran's wisdom, His commands reside,
Guiding me always, by His side.

With the Quran, my heart does sing,
In its verses, His guidance rings,
No condemnation for other scripture's tale,
For in God's word, all wisdom prevail.

With the curiosity of a child, I seek,
To learn from innocence, wisdom's streak,
To run as they do, untiring and free,
Mind over matter, the key it be.

In children, I find untainted grace,
In their honesty, wisdom I embrace,
Egoless, fearless, they show the way,
In their footsteps, I humbly sway.

Walking with God, in His light I bask,
In His love, I complete my task,
For in His guidance, I find my truth,
In His embrace, eternal youth.
