Waltz Of Life Poem by David Harris

Waltz Of Life

Rating: 5.0

Light fades at dusk
as the sun disappears in the west.
Our hearts become strangers
for yet another day.

The moon and the stars
rise up into the night sky.
Calling out to lovers
to step forward into their light.

For us the night
is a time for parting
after our day is done and our fingertips
linger for a moment before parting.

We have to wait until tomorrow
for the music between us
to bring you back again once
more into my arms.

They say each waltz has an ending
and ours ends as the day
once again turns into night
when we are parted once more.

One-day things will change
and our waltz will linger
through the brightness of day
and long into the darkness of night.
