Wane Wars Poem by Leslie Alexis

Wane Wars

Welcoming waves wave worries 'way
Opulent Oceans open opportunities
Seeing seas soothe sending some salvation
Royal riches reaming - raising rebels
Wars won with winners wielding wizards’ wands
Billions birth bombs - brutally burnt bodies
Men massacre maids - millions murdered
Time teaches temperance – time teaches:
Nothing, nothing new, nothing, nothing new
Still, starvation stinks, septic scents send shivers
Awakening avenging angels, angered
Compassionate, caring – creating change
Humans humbled, hurt, hungry – hunting healing
When will we wane wars? Wicked world.
