Wanted - Poem by Randy Lane

The cold wind whipping down around my back
pourin' rain washing out any sign of tracks
For two long years I've been on his trail
through desert heat and all kinds of hell
Wanted in Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas too
for robbery and the murder of a gal named, Marylou
For two thousand in gold, I'll earn my pay
from the saddle of my horse, I'll catch him someday
I can feel in my bones that winters a-coming
and there's a pain in my ass that keeps on a-drumming
How I long for a drink and a woman's touch
these are just a few thing's I miss so much
I curse everyday that Im after this man
and I can't wait till they hang Dangerous Dan
