War At Door Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

War At Door

War at door
Monday,23rd Aug 2021

God, forbid us from waging war
let the war clouds be pushed far
not our innocent dead become twinkling star
and laugh at us from horizon far

why do we want to kill ourselves?
is it for selfish motives?
or for territorial hunger?
it is making us thirstier

no one has benefitted?
even an almighty has not permitted
this mad adventure
for destructing our planet ad future

you are hitting an axe on your own feet
and greeting deaths
without a murmur
and making people to flee everywhere

what will you answer?
when leave this beautiful earth here
what will you carry along?
only wrong doing and curse

war game is the devil's adventure
causing destruction all over
making people suffer and flee
the world for them is not free
