War Is Humankind Poem by Ima Ryma

War Is Humankind

Before the Adam and Eve plan,
Plants and animals all did be
Only killing for food need span,
Living in peace and harmony.
But then did come the humankind,
Much more a willful killing sort,
Killing by hand as came to mind.
War evolved as a power sport.
The powerful fool powerless
Into believing war is good,
And only way to make progress
In saving 'patriotichood.'

Always will be, always before,
Only humankind wages war.
