War is ugly
no beauty upon its face
War is ugly
this is true
and it cannot be denied
War is ugly
always bringing
destruction and devastation
War is ugly
the bloody battlefield
the wounded
the dead and the dying
War is ugly
so ugly
War is ugly
like a monster
you'd rather
never see!
