Was She In Some Mental Conflict? Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Was She In Some Mental Conflict?

Dragging her back to the shore
by rising above the waves,
when the centrifugal waves surged and roared
and dipping into the sea,
when the centripetal waves rushed and pushed,
he laid her on the sand to the care of all
and glimpsed her thankful smiles.
'All Right. Take this money. Thanks a lot
for not pulling me into the sea',
he said and walked off the beach.

In the still of the night by a soul-cooling music,
he was drawn to the balcony
and saw her in the opposite house,
crooning in a northern tongue.
'Hello! Are you staying there? ', he yelled.
She nodded her head and twinkled.
The smile she exiled from her heart
will stick in his mind for long.

When she left her home in the morning,
he followed her a bit late on his bike.
'Where do you go, to Kashmir or Manipur?
Take the pillion seat please'.
Gently he rode the bike to the temple
and steered her to worship Lord Muruga.
'Tell your name. I pay the priest
to shower on you God's blessings'.
She smiled and trundled out.

Seeing her waiting for the bus
beside the American Consulate
after a heavy down-pour,
in thigh-deep water, he cried and waved:
'Angel! Common and hold my hand
or else you'll go down into the open man-holes.
Even the burglars darenot come to Chennai
in rainy season for this reason'.
She caught hold of his hand and put it on her eyes
with warmth and charm of her heart.

It was a bad day morning to make him sad.
A police cruiser came to take her to the station
along with her computer-gadgets, cameras
and spares to make exploding devices.
The whole street assembled there
spreading rumours of her links to the world of terror.
The cops warned her house owner
not to give room for rent to the strangers.
He was shocked and amazed
as he has given her room in his heart.
The silent glance she cast on him while leaving
won't bid ‘adieu' from his mind.

I don't know whether it is a real story or not, but this poem is written very well!
