Watch Two Gentlemen Playing Chess Poem by Luo Zhihai

Watch Two Gentlemen Playing Chess

★ Watch Two Gentlemen Playing Chess

☆ Poetry by Li Congqian (? -? , Tang Dynasty, China)
☆ Translation by Luo Zhihai (1954-, China)

In the bamboos there are two gentlemen
All the day they meditate
Silent finally face to face
Each one rushes to the fore
Swashbuckling will make a mistake
Is no harm to keep
But map out a strategy
The blue sea is not deep

注:吉王李从谦,五代十国时期南唐元宗李璟第九子。
Note: Prince Ji Wang, Li Congqian, the ninth son of Emperor Southern Tang YuanZong, Li Jing in the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period.

☆ 李从谦 诗

竹林二君子
尽日竟沉吟
相对终无语
争先各有心
恃强斯有失
守分固无侵
若算机筹处
沧沧海未深
