Watchful Eye Poem by cecil hickman

Watchful Eye

Rating: 5.0

Circle of the universe, watching over us, so stern.
Ever stable and reserve, carefully observing details,
What thought behind the total watchful eye, contains.
Solitude or companionship, the goal to meet,
Guiding or revolving, enrichness or deceit.
Shaping or waiting our mistakes, we have made.
Shifting time or passing it onward to end.
Are you there forever and beyond eternity?
Are you only a figment of my imagination?
Imagination is the building blocks of life.
Significant guidance, blocked by free will,
The roads that we travel, so chosen, instantly,
I see and feel the blindness, within one side.
Though I do feel the presence, of your love,
Your ever-watchful eye shows; your up above.

I read this twice thus far Cecil and both times thoroughly enjoyed the read. To think that my daughters art is inspiring you to write such lovely poetry, is amazing. I'll mark this as one of my favourites and show it to my daughter of course, Excellent wrilte Cecil.--Melvina--
