Water Mania Poem by Vijay Sai R

Water Mania

Brilliant sun shine
As usual as every day
Nothing so much alarming
Bustling traffic
Busy people
Hurrying in roads
Just like everyone
Finishing my work
Returned home
Around evening
In dull lighting
When suddenly
The weather changed
Monsoon abruptly
Shifting from clear to peril
Devilish winds
Blowing in swirling speeds
Moist air
Bringing rainfall
Pouring like cats and dogs
Almost in same velocity
Without compensation in thrust
Out-bursting clouds
Turning into thunder
And severe lightning
Power supply no more
Sound of water
Gushing along all the way
Slowly water level rising
Filling up spaces
Wherever it could find
All directions
North and East
West and south
No way to hide
Panic stricken
Counting minutes
And into seconds
Swarms of water
Submerging gradually
The well in my backyard
Water filling above my presence
That's the moment
What I felt-
The next event
Moments after..
Who knows?
What happens
To the person

This may happen one day. There is something called pralaya in ancient Indian epics. Perhaps, what you penned points at that. Pralaya is also dissolution of the created universe. Good write. keep it up.
