We All Are On Our Own Poem by Vibhor Jain

We All Are On Our Own

It was a dark evening, the sun already gone,
clouds were turning black, only few houses' lights were on,
Rain had started, sky was ready for a thunderstorm.
I saw in the street, a girl waking alone,
she was slow, she was delicate,
she was scared, she was calm,
looking around for a shelter at anyone's home
she perhaps knew nobody would support
so she kept going on.
I was watching from my window, my mind was blown
I didn't know if people did care
I was keen to help, but couldn't dare
in few moments, streets got darken
she got disappeared very soon
for few days I felt guilty, but life goes on
Now I think when I am sitting alone
we have lots of people around
but like that girl, we all are on our own.
