Just to hug him, I could travel lots of miles.

स्वाभिमान से शून्‍य तक, उन्माद से शांति तक
मिथ्या ओर सत्य का भेद जानकर, निजता से जन-कल्याण तक
मृत्यु को ही सत्य मानकर, व्यर्थ की चर्चा से आत्मचिंतन तक
सम्मान का मोह ओर अपमान का डर छोड़कर, मूर्ति पूजा से ध्यान तक

वो झूठ बोल कर जीतता गया, मैं सच का दामन पकड़े रहा ।
वो मुझको हमदर्दी दिखाता गया, मैं दुश्मन को दांव सिखाता रहा।
वो कबिल था, मैं आशिक था, वो मंसूबे छिपाता गया, मैं दिल का हाल बताता रहा ।
वो तजुर्बेकर था, मैं वाजिब था, वो हासिल करता गया, मैं काबिल बनता रहा ।
