Five dogs were sitting together
And their friendship no man could not sever,
They never shared the same father or mother
Though they knew each other as a true brother.
There sat a Shiba and a Pug and a Shitzu
Sitting there was their breed and pride too,
There also sat a German Shepherd an American Beagle
They were brown, black, white, tan and all looking regal.
Occasionally they would chase a cat or a bird
They never understood the same commands or word,
Different foods and people they did enjoy
And they all had their own special person and toy.
There they all sat in a neighbor's yard
They were each others friend and protector and guard,
All being different colors and sizes and breeds
And they were all known by their distinctive deeds.
We are dogs they all barked
Then their beloved territory they all then marked,
We are canines in our blood and brain it is rooted
Then they all growled, "racism is stupid".
