It was soldier in me
That stood as guard and felt free
Not waited for any kind of pay role
But responded to genuine call
I vividly remember
The country was in danger
For being attacked from neighbor
We were all ready to die for honor
As a youth I decided
No more opinion was to be divided
It was straight inner call
We were ready to defend our wall
Neither there was intention
For high pay fixation
Nor to earn money from job
It was love for country to stop invasion
Yes people may prefer to stay in door
Do not venture out and lay on floor
“There are paid soldiers to defend”
They think and expose the weak trend
You will find many people
Who see the aim in struggle?
“If we fail to safeguard country”
Who will come and save us from misery?
I took steps in direction
That needed only self consolation
No word was needed for appreciation
We all are duty bound for nation
