We Are Fair Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

We Are Fair

Yes it was noble gesture
For our future
And generations to come
We need to pray and welcome

We have no place to go
Except this holy land's show
It is our hope and Promised Land
Where we can wish and firmly stand

How many kind gestures can we appreciate?
There are many more than one to relate
Let us not go far but to see only one gesture
That is divine gift in form of rainy shower

The sacred earth promises to provide food
That is all we need for our good
The river carries water up to sea
It is our duty to maintain holiness and see

Let us not undo what almighty intends to
We need to prove we are humans true
We are not ungrateful
We deserve nothing as fateful

Let us stand by needy and poor
Let us not force them through exit door
We need to look at with care
Then only thing we can say that we are fair
