We are living in a troubled world
With no conclusion in sight
Days, months, and years go by
We are always in a constant fight
Children cry day by day
We stop and wonder why
Others have nothing to eat
Not even a piece of apple pie
Innocent human beings
Are losing their lives each day
This bewilders me a great deal
As to how they can go on this way
Some people need sufficient health care
Others lack a good shelter
Why must they continue
To live in a state of helter-skelter
In times like this
We can only humble ourselves
We may not be able to change the world
Be we can surely provide help
