We Are Who We Choose To Be? Poem by Terence George Craddock

We Are Who We Choose To Be?

Rating: 5.0

we are who we choose to be
if we are lucky we are blessed
with good parents family friends
with good dedicated teachers
with a good education within
a good society country lifestyle

yes you might not have been
who and where you are today
if it wasn't for family friends
dedication hard work love
a few teachers positive influences

but we all make defining choices
to decide to affirm honour justice
faith truth sincerity integrity love
or to live a loss selfish darker side

variant degrees of success
easy or hard won would still
be there in time virtues reward
there might have been a slight
or a lengthy convoluted delay

a little harder to get there,
a little less fun on the way;
good habits actions ethics
personality defines character
character sows our destiny;
