We Belong Poem by Shaun Cronick

We Belong

Rating: 5.0

You urge me to go, then beg me to stay,
Help me to know if I stand in your way.
Cruelly and constantly hurting me so bad,
Or am I the best man you've ever simply had?

Imprisoned by cruel love, forever chained to your side,
There's no way my blind faith for you will ever die.
Many times I try to tell you, many times I cry alone,
Never surprised how well you cut my feelings to the bone.

We belong to Heaven's light, we belong to Hell's darkness.
We belong to each others dreams and nightmares regardless.
We belong to our mixed emotions in all of their starkness.
We belong to the storms, we belong to their thunder.
We belong to these two worlds we both live under.
Whatever we deny or embrace, for worse or for better.
We belong, we belong, we belong together.
