We Can Expect Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

We Can Expect

Rating: 5.0

Believe me dog never bites
To another stray dog it fights
Full day is assigned for rest
As night are crucial for test

The strangers are to be watched
The owner is to be informed
Any untoward incidence is to be brought
Make loud sound for owner not to be caught

With little space and food
The dog serves us as good sentry
You are sleeping careless
Where as it is his duty and very much ceaseless

The wrong all over may not stop
As we, the human being, are on top
We employ all dirty tricks
Raise unnecessary hue and cry with sticks

Generations after generations have vanished
So many civilizations have no traces or finished
Still the world moves on with or without our concern
We can expect good only when we change in turn
