We Can Show The World Our Firmness Poem by Obed dela Cruz

(dedicated to my God, family, loved ones, and nation)

In this land you can hear loud roars of thunders
And before you there are trees struck by lightning.
Stormy scenarios come in the form of curse
As if the heavens are so terrorizing.
But still, we can show the world our firmness.

In our lives earthquakes may come and shake us so!
And all those buildings may fall in front of us.
Sometimes, Earth promises us not tomorrow
Because all that it has are turned to pieces.
But still we can show the world our firmness.

Some of us experienced life’s bitterest part
And some of us don’t always get what we want.
But everyday another page we can start
Because life is not just about to lament.
With God we can show the world our firmness.
