As we gather in celebration
Of our men and women in uniform
Pride fills our hearts and souls
As they are honored one by one
Most of us can’t imagine
Just what hardships they’ve been through
Fighting for their country
For me and yes, for you
We bring them all together
If not in body then in mind
They are treasured true Americans
They are really one of a kind
With balloons and banners we show them
How much they mean to us
And some of them probably wonder
Why we make such a fuss
Whatever we can do to show
How much we really care
Let us do it in our own special way
Our love for them them we share!

We should remember those who have given their lives for their country and us. This is a great tribute to them all. Love Ernestine XXX
