'' We'll Never Leave Here '' Poem by Bri Mar

'' We'll Never Leave Here ''

The madness known as the human race,
Visualise their future in outer space,
They totally ignore the dangers they face,
The truth is it is crystal clear.

Mental health issues we tend to ignore,
That's why we send them back for more,
Their previous good health we cannot restore,
Space is not a friendly frontier.

Micro meteorites can and will kill,
Billions exist they never stand still,
Avoiding them, takes far more than skill,
As towards their victim they steer.

Then there is death by radiation,
Too long in space we face decimation,
We cannot enable acclimation,
That alone should fill us with fear.

Space destroys muscles as well as our eyes,
Cognitive response eventually dies,
These are the facts our scientists disguise,
In space they just disappear.

What if we disturb an alien commune,
It's claimed there's already one on the moon,
It could well turn out inopportune,
As our trespassing may not endear.

It is billions wasted on the impossible dream,
Being forced upon us by a corrupt regime,
Our planet is being killed by these beings supreme,
The fact is,
