We Offered Hand Of Kindness Poem by Terence George Craddock

We Offered Hand Of Kindness

enemies who are our enemies
in love we offered the hand of kindness
but hate wanted no friendship hate wanted to kill us

we offered the milk of kindness
but the murder with a knife wanted
only to stab our hearts steal our lives

not believing in half measures
Jesus offered up his body tortured

beaten blood weeping

not believing in half measures
Jesus offered up his life dying

in agony on a cross;

already knowing relentless
hate cannot relent
only love offers hope

a chance to be reborn
in an ultimate heart
of love sacrifice

one life submits
before hate enemies

conquers death offers

an eternal life in divine love purified
