We Walk Alone
So it's true we walk alone
-brother don't despair
we fill our own empty glasses with liquid
of our own kind
tasting it sip by sip
-bitter sweet
tong twirling
purifying, cleansing and poisoning
at the same time
-swallowing our own venom
we all walk alone brother
-we must
there is no other way
to the top of the mountain
and when we fall
only God is holding our hand.
